Around the World with Little Raindrop: A Visit to Biomes Marine Biology Center! @biomescenter

Heya, Kiddos!

This summer, I was able to take a quick peek into the Biomes Marine Biology Center. It is so cool in there! They have a gazillion touch-tanks where guests can experience what certain underwater animals feel like. They have so many different kinds of plants, fish and aquatic animals, and many are even native to Rhode Island, where Miss Melanie is from!

We only visited for a short time, which means I will get to go back again because we didn't get to see everything in time! Yippieeee!!!

I feel like I'm at the beach!

I wonder, are these mangrove roots?

Are those STRAW fish?

Nope! They're cornetfish!

Horseshoe crabs!

But they don't look like shoes to me!

Cute little sharkie!

I'm so lucky I was able to meet this little guy!

Hey! No escaping, Mister!

These stars look like they are made of spaghetti!

Hi!

These fish like to hide using their sandy colored camouflage!

A striped Sea Robin!

Though it looks a lot like Miss Melanie's old Pleco fish!

Somebody feeling blue?

Wow, he's so colorful compared to his neighbor!

Snapping turtle, please don't bite!

A tortoise!

He is faster than I expected him to be!

That was such a neat little tour! Now I want to know: When are we going again??? Hee hee! I will let you know when we do!

Until then, see you around and around!

Around the World with Little Raindrop: I Visit Mystic Aquarium!!! @mysticaquarium

Hiya, Little Water Heroes!

So this summer, Mr. H and Miss Melanie planned a day trip for all of us to visit the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut. We took Miss Sharon and Mr. Danny along with us, too. And it was SOOO FUN!!!

Welcome to Mystic Aquarium!

Oooo, a real LIVE reef!

The sea lion show!

How long can he whistle for?

A great view of the show!

Get that ball!

Thanks for a great show, Ref!

The manta ray touch tank!

These guys are so cuuuuute!

Mr. H, he's eating your hand!

Never ever throw stuff into the water!

Baby belugas in the deep blue sea! I mean, the pool!

Meet Juno!

He wants me to come say hi...

Whoa, is he huuuuuge!

And beautiful!

What a curious whale!

He wants to snuggle!

Wave hello to the camera, dude!

Friends forever!

Giving a kiss goodbye!

What a nice sculpture!

The sea lion is sunning himself.

Let's race!

The penguin exhibit is just ahead.

They were pretty shy today!

Look, I'm under water!

Zooooom, the penguins swim by!

Playing "follow the finger"!

This freshwater brook runs to the pond down below...

...and here it is! Cool, lily pads!

Look at all the duckweed floating on top!

Should this be my new Profile Picture? Hee hee!

Feeding the Birds of the Outback!

Aw!

These birdies sure are colorful!

I feel right at home!

Fishies of the Amazon.

Orange you glad you live under water?

This is one of my favorite fishies!

A baby alligator!

"Ooooooh, let's name the zones, the zones, the zones.
Let's name the zones of the open sea!"

Charlotte, the green sea turtle!

This turtle almost looks like a dinosaur, doesn't he?

Hey, what's so funny?

Ohhhhh! They're CLOWN fish! Haha!

This blue lobster is blue like ME!

A loggerhead sea turtle. Wow, look at that shell!

Family picture time!

Guess what happens when we turn on the black light?

The fish glow, that's what happens!

Eerie eel.

Can you spot the fish hiding?

I see sea horsies!

They're terrible swimmers, but they really know how to use their tails!

Ohhh, a shark touch tank!

Jellies!

Whoaaa...

Gosh, I never knew just how pretty these were!

You can see their electricity flowing!

Looks like a mushroom!

Upside down jellies!

It the Titanic Exhibit: this is one of the rooms a RICH guest would stay in on the Titanic.

ICEBERG!!!!!

Hundreds of people would take turns using this tub while staying on the Titanic.

Down below in B deck!

That's a nifty kind of suit!

I'm the king of the world!

Hey, Mr. Spongebob, fancy seeing you here!

There was nice art to be found, all around! Like paintings...

...sculptures...

...and even tiled whales!

Aw, can he come home with me?

Let's dance together!

Aren't we just fancy?

WOWIE! What a day that was! I couldn't believe all the awesome habitats and animals we got to see, and even TOUCH! It was one of the most fun days ever! My favorite part was definitely seeing the beluga whales, and meeting Juno. I sure hope Miss Melanie takes me here to visit again!
